Redactator

Share the file. Keep the private bits to yourself.

Drop photos, PDFs and screen recordings. Redactator finds names, emails, card numbers, faces and licence plates, and covers them with solid black boxes. It all runs on your own computer: nothing is uploaded.

Redactator, a small robot holding a big black marker

Made for people who share client files all day

Video editors

Cut tutorials from a client's dashboard without leaking their customers' emails in the background.

Support teams

Send screenshots and screen recordings to a vendor with the account details already blacked out.

Freelancers

Forward invoices and contracts as portfolio samples without exposing who paid for what.

How it works

Three open models read every line, and their results are merged, so a miss by one is caught by another.

  1. Drop and tick

Add as many files as you like and tick what to hide. Type anything only you know, like your car's plate.

  2. Three detectors read it

Fixed patterns for emails, cards and IBANs. GLiNER2-PII for names and IDs. Gemma 4 for anything that needs judgement.

  3. Review and export

Untick what should stay visible, draw extra boxes by hand, and export clean copies. Originals are never touched.

Private by design
